Project Description

Consulting module “Business case and scenarios”

A well-founded business case is the prerequisite for investing in energy infrastructure. It determines the feasibility, eligibility for funding and budget compliance of a project – from the initial idea through to operation. Heating network projects in particular are under high financing pressure: they are capital-intensive, long-term and operationally complex. Only with a viable business case can investors be convinced, subsidies secured and project responsibility assumed. What we develop:

  • a resilient corporate and financing structure
  • Life cycle-based economic feasibility studies

  • Model approaches of technical variants with cost-benefit comparison

  • Scenarios for construction and operating costs and integration of subsidies

  • a standardized data structure that enables integrated evaluation, planning and simulation

  • Current regulatory and political framework conditions
